Notes are used to provide information relating to SKOS concepts. SKOS provides the following properties for defining concepts:

  1. skos:note - used for general documentation purposes.
  2. skos:scopeNote - supplies partial, information about the intended meaning and usage of a concept.
  3. skos:definition - supplies a complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept.
  4. skos:example -  supplies an example of the use of a concept.
  5. skos:historyNote  - describes significant changes that have been made to the meaning or form of a concept.
  6. skos:editorialNote - supplies information about changes for the purposes of administration and maintenance
  7. skos:changeNote  - documents changes to a concept for the purposes of administration and maintenance.
